Before the 2020 college football season kicked off, Penn State was expected to compete for a Big Ten title.
Although Ohio State was the clear favorite, the Nittany Lions were seen as the Buckeyes’ main competition. However, after a season-opening loss to Indiana, it was clear that this Penn State team wasn’t what analysts expected.
After a relatively close loss against Ohio State, it looked like Penn State may be able to bounce back. However, an embarrassing blowout loss to Maryland showed this team just isn’t very good.
Well, that was on display once again on Saturday afternoon against Nebraska. Penn State allowed a first-series touchdown to the Huskers before Scott Frost’s program added a field goal to make it 10-0 early.
After a Penn State field goal, the Huskers racked up two quick touchdowns – one on defense – to take a 24-3 lead. Following the rough start, Penn State pulled starting quarterback Sean Clifford.
Of course, social media isn’t being very kind to the Nittany Lions this afternoon.
There’s just no fire on the Penn State sideline. None. No anger, no frustration, just, well, nothing.

It’s been a rough season for the Nittany Lions who are still in search of their first win on the season. Instead of competing for a Big Ten title, Penn State will be lucky to finish the season with a .500 record.
If this result holds, the Nittany Lions will sit at 0-4 with games against Iowa and Michigan left on the schedule.
