James Franklin Got Into Argument With Fan After Loss To Ohio State

Penn State head coach James Franklin might be feeling some pressure again after losing to Ohio State again on Saturday.

Even though Penn State won its first seven games to open the season, it lost to Ohio State for an eighth season in a row on Saturday by seven, 20-13. Penn State even had a 10-0 lead in the first quarter before squandering it in the one-possession loss.

As Franklin was walking off the field, a fan was chirping at him for losing to Ohio State and he wasn’t having it.

“If you’re gonna be man enough to talk, what’s your name?” Franklin asked.

The fan then had nothing to say and walked away, which allowed Franklin to continue into the locker room.

Yes, Penn State fans have every right to be upset because they lost but that fan was obviously not prepared for Franklin to bite back when he was questioned. He wasn’t ready for the real-life encounter.

Granted, Franklin easily could’ve avoided the fan and went into the locker room to discuss the loss with his team but it was likely a heat-of-the-moment decision.

Penn State is now 7-1 heading into its next game against Washington next Saturday. Even though it lost today, Penn State is still in really good shape for a berth in the College Football Playoff if it can win its final four games.

Meanwhile, Ohio State will get ready for Purdue at home next Saturday.
