Four-star forward Chase Foster has committed to Pittsburgh, ON3’s Joe Tipton announced on Wednesday. The 6-foot-9 forward chose the Panthers over Villanova, Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
Foster is originally from the Baltimore area, but is currently in his senior year at IMG Academy (FL).
He was a member of Team Melo this past summer, on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he averaged 18.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in his breakout summer.
“He’s 6-foot-9 and can shoot, pass and dribble,” Foster’s AAU coach John Zito told ZAGSBLOG this summer. “I think he went down to IMG and grew his game from a defensive standpoint, from a physicality standpoint. He rebounds the ball at a higher clip. He’s got so much potential, but I think we’re starting to see that potential kind of translate into some attributes that are going to translate very well to the college level and potentially NBA level.”
Foster is Jeff Capel and Pittsburgh’s second commit in the class of 2026, joining his high school teammate Jermal Jones, who committed on October 10th.
He is a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 33 overall prospect in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports.
