Pitt officially announces the addition of a First Team All-Sun Belt selection.
South Alabama transfer Barry Dunning Jr. will join the Panthers next season, head coach Jeff Capel announced on Saturday.
“Barry is a dynamic athlete who has continued to improve throughout his college career,” said Capel. “He can score at all three levels and also impacts the game with his rebounding ability from the wing. He was a highly touted prospect out of high school and showed why last season at South Alabama. We believe he has the ability to make another big jump in his game and we are eager to help him maximize his talent here at Pitt.”
The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in his junior year. Pitt will be his fourth team in as many seasons. Dunning’s career began at Arkansas and was followed by UAB and South Alabama.
The Panthers have also added Iowa State transfers Dishon Jackson and Nojus Indrusaitis and Oregon State transfer Damarco Minor.
