The Pittsburgh Panthers have another player going to Florida to play professional football. Safety Erick Hallett II has been selected in the 6th round at pick 208 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hallett II is the 5th Panther to be selected in the 2023 draft (6th if you want to count Jordan Addison).

In 2022, Hallett was named a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America and a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given annually to the best safety in college football and was selected to the second team All-ACC. In 49 career games, Hallett amassed 170 total tackles, eight interceptions, 32 passes defended. Hallett II also had a knack for knocking the ball away from the offense causing four forced fumbles and recovering four. The standout secondary player also was the 2021 ACC championship MVP.
