The Bulloch Academy standout is ranked No. 283 in the ESPN 300 for 2022
Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt coaching staff have seen their efforts on the recruiting trail begin to yield results over the last few days, and that trend continued on Sunday, as Rodney Hill, an athlete out of Bulloch Academy in Statesboro, Georgia, placed the program in his top 10.

Hill’s 10 finalists included Arkansas State, Colorado, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pitt, Troy, Virginia and West Virginia. That list was derived from an offer sheet with 19 programs represented, and the cuts included Akron, Chattanooga, East Carolina, Maryland, Ole Miss, South Alabama, Tennessee, UCF and Yale.
The 6’0”, 180-pound athlete holds a four-star rating from ESPN and a three-star rating from Rivals but has not been rated by 247Sports. ESPN ranks Hill No. 283 in the ESPN 300 for the 2022 class as well as No. 23 at his position and No. 26 in Georgia. And his rankings were the result of his play for Bulloch Academy at receiver, running back and cornerback.
Hill has topped 100 yards multiple times in a variety of roles at Bulloch Academy, and one of his best showings came on Sept. 18, 2020, when he accrued 332 total yards and four touchdowns and led his team to a 38-32 win over Tiftarea Academy. And on Sept. 20, 2019, Hill rushed for 173 yards and scored twice in a 56-0 victory over the Westfield School.
Given Hill’s big-play ability and versatility, he could serve in a variety of roles at Pitt, which is in need of playmakers on offense. But with that said, Hill has yet to set a decision date, and a commitment may be months away.
