The New York Jets land their offensive line help in Carter Warren

The Pittsburgh Panthers have another prospect that heard their name called in the NFL Draft. After Calijah Kancey went in the first round, it’s now it’s Carter Warren’s turn. The offensive tackle was selected in the fourth round 120th overall by the New York Jets.

Carter Warren is a four-year starter inside Pitt’s zone-based run scheme with 39 career starts at left tackle. Carter also spent time as a sixth lineman in 2021 on the right side. Warren started just four games in 2022 before suffering a season-ending knee injury that kept him out of most of the pre-draft process.

The former 3-star offensive tackle recruit out of Passaic High School in Paterson, New Jersey had an invite to the Senior Bowl last off-season before deciding to return to school. At 24 years old, Warren brings plenty of blindside experience to the New York Jets for a team that had eyes on a tackle in the first round before being jumped by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

If not for the season-ending injury earlier in the year, there was potential to hear Warren’s name called as a day-two pick. This could present good value here at pick number 120 for the Jets.

We loved what we saw.
