Pittsburgh announces signing of Top Ten recruiting class

November 20, 2025 by Zags Blog

Pittsburgh announced its signing of three players in the class of 2026, with its class ranked as the No. 6 recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.

The Panthers’ class thus far includes four-star forward Chase Foster, four-star forward Anthony Felesi and four-star guard Jermal Jones.

Foster is a 6-foot-8 forward from Baltimore and a senior at IMG Academy (FL). He is ranked the No. 32 overall recruit in the class of 2026.

“Chase (Foster) is one of the highest rated recruits in Pitt basketball history,” Pittsburgh head coach Jeff Capel said. “He has versatility on both sides of the ball. At his size, he has tremendous skill level to score, both catch-and-shoot and off the bounce. He’s a good athlete with good basketball IQ. Defensively, Chase (Foster) can guard the 1 through 4 and that will give us defensive versatility. He’s also shown an ability to change and block shots as well.”

Felesi is a 6-foot-5 forward at Utah Prep (UT) and is ranked as the No. 48 recruit in the nation.

“Anthony (Felesi) was another top target for us this past summer,” Capel said. “He has high character, is a hard worker and a great teammate. He is one of the best athletes and one of the better defenders in the class with a growing skill set as a big guard. He has a high ceiling but he’s not close to tapping into his full potential yet. I look forward to seeing how Anthony (Felesi) develops.”

Jones – a 6-foot-3 guard at IMG Academy (FL), is high school teammates with Foster and is ranked as the No. 109 recruit in the country.

“Jermal (Jones) has toughness and grit that has defined Pittsburgh,” Capel said. “He is that junkyard dog player that Pitt fans have loved for years. He signifies Pitt men’s basketball and is a competitive, athletic, scoring combo guard. Jermal (Jones) really attacks the basket and finishes above the rim. He’s an efficient three-point shooter who really prides himself on having the defensive mentality we want.”
