It’s unclear of how many players or staff members may have been exposed.

The Penguins canceled their practice at their training camp at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday due to a potential COVID-19 exposure.

According to reports, the team says that they did so out of an “abundance of caution.”

It’s unclear how many players, coaches, or staff members could be included in this potential exposure.

The team also did not specify whether anyone within the organization has tested positive for COVID-19.

Should any players test positive for COVID-19, the NHL’s policy and protocol does not permit teams to announce those positive results. All COVID-19 related announcements will come from the league itself.

Elsewhere in the National Hockey League, the Dallas Stars’ season opener has been delayed after six players and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19

The team is set to kick off its season on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. against the Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

At this time, it’s unclear whether that game is any sort of jeopardy of not being played.
