Pittsburgh Penguins rookie forward Ben Kindel reached a significant milestone on Thursday when he appeared in his 10th NHL game. That meant the first year of his three-year entry-level contract was officially activated and he got one year closer to becoming an unrestricted free agent, though not for another half dozen seasons.
