Cutch is still playing at a high level. Should he come back in 2026?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Pittsburgh Pirates fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
Andrew McCutchen is having another pretty good season at the plate. His .255 average is currently third-highest on the team, as is his slugging percentage of .402, his OBP of .350, and his OPS of .752. He’s also first in doubles with 6, fourth in RBIs with 12 and third in homers with 3. He is still producing.
The 38-year-old McCutchen is signed through the end of the year, at $5 million for this season. He certainly looks like he can play another year, at least at the moment. But with the Pirates once again terrible, will he want to?
What we’re asking this week is, should Cutch return to the Pirates in 2026?
