Another Browns starter will be out for the Steelers and Browns Wild Card matchup
Another Cleveland Browns player has tested positive for Covid-19 and will be out for Sundays Wild Card clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This time it is Browns safety Ronnie Harrison. The Browns also announced they have activated safety Andrew Sendejo from the Reserve/COVID-19 List, while also placing linebacker Montrel Meander on the Practice Squad/COVID-19 List.

The moves were made after rumors of more Browns players testing positive which turned out to be true. The Browns facility has been closed since Week 17 and will be expected to be closed again tomorrow until more further Covid testing and close contacts can be completed.
Andrew Sendejo was out for the Browns Week 17 game with the Steelers, but after activating their starting free safety, the Browns had to deactivate their starting strong safety. Ronnie Harrison, the former Jacksonville Jaguars safety, was having a bit of a bounce back year in Cleveland while at times flashing moments of brilliance. Harrison tallied six tackles a week ago against the Steelers.
Harrison now joins a laundry list of Browns players and coaches on the Covid list which now include: Kevin Stefanski, Joel Bitonio, Denzel Ward, Kevin Johnson, Harrison Bryant, KhaDarel Hodge, and Malcom Smith. As well as a number of Browns positional coaches.
We were informed this morning that Head Coach Kevin Stefanski, two additional members of the coaching staff and two players have tested positive for COVID-19.

The NFL hasn’t said whether or not the Wild Card playoff game could be delayed from its Sunday Night Football time slot. The speculation by many is that the Browns need to stop testing positive by Friday for this game to remain unaffected.

The NFL evaluates all these situations on a case-by-case basis, so an additional positive COVID-19 test in Cleveland doesn’t automatically trigger a change. Contact tracing ongoing.
