The Pittsburgh Steelers have been the best team in the NFL so far this season. Pittsburgh is 9-0, the only undefeated team left in the league.
Next up for Pittsburgh: the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville has been one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. The Jaguars are 1-8 on the season, in contention for the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. The New York Jets still hold that top draft spot, but things could change over the season’s final month-plus.
Could this be a “trap” game for Pittsburgh, though?
Ben Roethlisberger admitted today that the Jaguars have had the Steelers’ number as of late.
“The last 10 games against them hasn’t been good at all,” Roethlisberger said on Wednesday, per the team’s official website. “Extra motivation or whatever you want to call it. We are not taking these guys lightly at all. They have had our number. I know we won the last one barely. I know it’s a different team. You have to understand this game, this group, these two teams, it’s complete focus.”
Pittsburgh and Jacksonville are scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
The game between the NFL’s best team (record-wise, anyway) and lowly Jaguars will be televised on CBS.
