The Steelers may be on the verge of landing a star
Just two days after the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft, it appears the Pittsburgh Steelers are already looking to fill the holes that still remain on the roster.
Former Steelers cornerback, and current CBS Sports NFL analyst Bryant McFadden posted on X teasing that a potential huge acquisition is coming for the Steelers.
“Ooooh, Omar is working,” McFadden said in the post. “The Steelers are very close to landing a significant playmaker.”

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky chimed in shortly after, saying the Steelers should trade for San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel.

A source told BTSC that the Steelers reached out to the Denver Broncos both before and during the NFL Draft inquiring about wide receiver Courtland Sutton. The Steelers were also reportedly trying to trade for both Brandon Aiyuk and Samuel. Whomever this “significant playmaker” is, it’s safe to assume it is a receiver, as the Steelers still have a need for a No. 2 boundary wideout.
