The former Steelers safety can now focus on football
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins pulled off arguably the biggest blockbuster trade of the offseason, in which Minkah Fitzpatrick was moved for DB Jalen Ramsey and TE Jonnu Smith.
In the following weeks, it was reported that Fitzpatrick was seeking an extension, which could have been a significant reason why he was moved if the Steelers were unwilling to meet his demands.

All bets were off after the announcement that he signed with maniacal agent Drew Rosenhaus, who has a history of pushing the envelope. Today, it was announced that Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins agreed to terms, but didn’t receive the extension that was initially reported he desired.
“[The] Dolphins and their recently-acquired safety Minkah Fitzpatrick have agreed to a revised contract, adding a $16.245 million signing bonus to his deal,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted on X. “There had been no guaranteed money left on the contract, and no additional years were added.”

Miami added 16.245 million to his initial signing bonus, and both parties can now presumably let bygones be bygones.
