Friday Night Steelers Six Pack of questions and open thread: Wild Card Edition

January 8, 2021 by Behind The Steel Curtain Leave a Comment

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

There is always something to talk about when it comes to the black-and-gold!

It’s Friday again, and New Years Day, so it’s time for the six pack of questions. It seems as if Jeff and Dave come to a consensus in cutting to the chase…

This week, I, Jeff, will be tasked with the questions up for discussion.

The rules are still the same…

Quick rundown of the ground rules.

  • I’ll ask at least four questions strictly related to the Steelers.
  • The rest of the questions could be about anything.
  • Be respectful.
  • Have fun talking about the Black-and-gold.

Procedural Note: Since the title feature has gone away, please feel free to leave your usual title as the first line of your response and even bold it if you can for the ease of others.

So here we go! With the formalities out of the way, it’s time to jump on in. Hopefully this party is exactly what you’re looking for on a Friday night. Here goes:

1. Outside of the Steelers vs. Browns game, which Wild Card matchup are you most excited to watch?

2. Okay, prediction time. Who wins the Wild Card games this weekend?

BUF vs. IND
SEA vs. LAR
WFT vs. TB
TEN vs. BAL
NO vs. CHI
PIT vs. CLE

3. On a scale from 1-10, 10 being a HUGE DEAL, how big of a deal is Kevin Stefanski missing this Sunday’s game, particularly as a play caller?

4. What is more likely to happen, the Steelers rush for over 100 yards, or hold the Browns to under 100 yards rushing?

5. Dave Schofield gave some crazy statistics on Ben Roethlisberger in the playoffs on his Stat Geek podcast this week. Some of those are the Steelers have never won a playoff game where Roethlisberger throws the ball more than 30 times, and they’ve never won a playoff game where he throws for over 300 yards? Something has to give this Sunday if the Steelers win, which one is the one to break, assuming the Steelers win?

6. Okay, I would love to see how fans think this game is going to play out Sunday night. I know it is a very generic question, but what is your score prediction for the game?

EXTRA CREDIT: What is some of the food/beverages you all are fixing for the big game?

Stay safe out there!

And it wouldn’t be a Friday night unless we said…

HERE WE GO STEELERS!
