The biggest question mark coming out of Week 17 in the injury to kicker Chris Boswell. Missing his second straight game and the third in the last five weeks, Boswell was limited on Wednesday and a full participant on Thursday. After Friday’s practice, Boswell has no injury status even though he was limited in practice.
Another player who missed last Sunday’s game due to injury was Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds with a shoulder. Edmunds missed the first NFL game of his career, but is hopeful to return for the Steelers Wild Card game. Edmunds returned to practice as a full participant all week and carries no injury designation for Sunday night’s game.
There were also several players who were listed on the injury report early in the week before returning to practice. Cornerback Steven Nelson was limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury, linebacker Vince Williams did not practice with a quadricep injury, and defensive tackle Tyson Alualu also did not practice Wednesday with an ankle injury. All three players were back and practicing fully on Thursday and Friday and have no injury status.
New to the injury report on Thursday was wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster who sat out Wednesday with a knee injury and defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs who missed due to illness. On Friday, both Smith-Schuster and Buggs returned and are good to go for Sunday night.
As for the Browns’ official injury report, you can see the names below courtesy of Steelers.com. Not practicing until 4:30 PM, it will be late on Friday until their practice participation is listed although game’s statuses are listed.
