The Los Angeles Lakers superstar gave Mike Tomlin a well-deserved shout out.
One of the main reasons the Steelers are 9-0 during 2020, the year of random maladies, is organizational stability. This is exhibited through the decision making of Art Rooney II, the consistent toughness and resilience of Big Ben, and undoubtedly the steady leadership and foresight of Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin.
Steelers Nation sees Tomlin’s positive impact, his peers around the NFL see it as well in that Tomlin’s name is often mentioned as a 2020 “Coach of the Year’ candidate. More impressively, Lebron James, arguably the greatest NBA player of all time, sees it too.
Just this week, James tweeted “S/O [Shout Out] Mike Tomlin just cause!!! Salute brother!”
S/O MIKE TOMLIN just cause!!! Salute brother! ✊
— LeBron James (@KingJames) November 18, 2020
In response, Tomlin tweeted ‘Much love and respect bro!!!
Real recognizes real.
Never in the history of this storied franchise has a Steelers team sprinted out of the starting gate to a 9-0 record. Never. Not even the vaunted Steel Curtain teams of the 1970s which produced four Super Bowl titles.
Tomlin has garnered these shout outs and tweets from multiple sources including a future NBA Hall of Famer the old fashioned way. He earned it. Tomlin is on his way to eclipsing the 200 win mark, a Holy Grail of NFL coaching. On top of that, he consistently rebuilds Steelers teams on the fly with no significant drops in wins, even down a Hall of Fame quarterback, and, oh yeah, his record 14th consecutive non-losing season.
I see you, and I raise you Lebron.
Shout out to Mike Tomlin, because you are great brother!
