NFL: 1 Takeaway for Every Team that Played Sunday in Week 8

October 28, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Every week in the NFL brings new surprises. This week, teams celebrated National Tight Ends Day accordingly with big games from Oronde Gadsden II and Tucker Kraft and other tight ends finding the end zone. We no longer have a winless team, and teams with injuries rose and fell to the occasion. Overall, we are in the heart of football season, and life cannot be any better.

Week 8 Takeaways for Each Team that Played

Baltimore Ravens – The Ravens get a big win to give their season hope with Lamar Jackson’s return imminent. Derrick Henry rushed for two touchdowns, and a healthier Baltimore defense got stops when it mattered.

Cincinnati Bengals – Brutal loss for the Bengals, who were in control of this game. The defense once again lets them down as the trade deadline looms large for Trey Hendrickson and Logan Wilson.

Cleveland Browns – Dillon Gabriel threw the first two picks of his career in a game where the Patriots’ defense stifled anything the Browns tried to do today. However, Myles Garrett had a monster game with five sacks.

Pittsburgh Steelers – The Aaron Rodgers revenge game looked good in the first half, but completely fell apart in the second half. The offense fell completely flat in the second half, and the Steelers fell to 4-2.

Buffalo Bills – Buffalo dominated Andy Dalton and the Panthers. Josh Allen scored his 70th career rushing touchdown, and James Cook rushed for over 200 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins – Tua and the Dolphins throw the ball all over the league’s top passing defense with 205 passing yards and four touchdowns, leading to a 34-10 victory over the Falcons.

New England Patriots – New England took care of business against the Browns. Drake Maye has another good performance to help get the Pats to 6-2 on the year.

New York Jets – The Jets have won a game! Breece Hall runs for over 130 yards, and he runs and throws for a touchdown. Justin Fields overcame all of the chatter this week and put together a solid game to secure the win.
