From NFL sources

NFL sources: Approximately a dozen teams have shown interest in JJ Watt since he became an immediate unrestricted free agent. Included among those teams are the #Steelers, #Browns, #Bills and #Titans.

— Ed Werder (@WerderEdESPN) February 13, 2021

According to ESPN NFL reporter Ed Werder, teams are already inquiring about the availability of former Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. Watt asked for his release from the Texans which they granted, allowing Watt to sign with any team.

Werder indicated one of the teams showing interest in signing Watt is the Pittsburgh Steelers. This would be a fascinating addition for Pittsburgh given Watt’s two brothers, T.J. and Derek already play for the Steelers.

The reality is, with the Steelers salary-cap woes, the only way Watt is going to have a family reunion with his brothers is if he agrees to a pretty massive pay cut over what other teams will be able to play. Is family a good enough reason for that? We will just have to wait and see.
