Coach Tomlin on Titans RB Derrick Henry: “This is like Bud Dupree running the football.”

There are few running backs in the league that cast the imposing shadow that Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry does. At 6-foot-3 and nearly 250 pounds, Henry is a wrecking ball with the football in his hands and an absolute chore for defenders to bring down.
But perhaps Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin might have had the most apt description Of Henry. He said Henry was like Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree running the football. But he’s faster than Bud.
Pittsburgh has shut down every running back they have faced this season. And make no mistake they have faced some talented ones. The Steelers put the clamps on New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley in the first game of the season and a case can be made he’s the most talented running back in the NFL.
However, the challenge Henry presents for Pittsburgh is unique. His combination of size and speed along with his physicality means it won’t be as simple as trying to force him back inside and let the line clean up. This will be the real test of just how stout this Steelers run D is.
