This past Sunday saw the Pittsburgh Steelers record more yards of offense than an opponent for the first time this season. But despite quarterback Kenny Pickett having arguably his best game of the season, they might not have him much at practice this week.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced that Pickett is dealing with ankle discomfort and could be limited in practice this week. It’s unclear how Pickett sustained this injury.
However, Tomlin stopped short of predicting that the injury will keep Pickett from being good to go against the Arizona Cardinals this coming week.
Pickett completed 72.7-percent of his passes for 278 yards – both season highs – in Sunday’s 16-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
But it’s hardly been a great second season for Pickett.

The former University of Pittsburgh quarterback has just six touchdown passes this season. For a quarterback who has started every game this season that number is almost too low to be believed.
Pickett has managed to go 7-4 as a starter but that is largely on the strength of their top five defense, not their bottom 10 offense.
Will Pickett pick up any steam towards the end of the season?
