The Steelers announced that their starting running back was questionable to return with an ankle injury. He did not return to Monday’s game against the Giants.
Conner carried the ball six times for nine yards and caught two passes for eight yards before leaving with the injury. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Conner sprained his ankle and will be examined on Tuesday. Schefter said the team is “optimistic for a timely return.”
