Steelers stadium will remain named ‘Heinz Field’ through 2021

The facility has been known as Heinz Field since its opening in 2001. Although the naming-rights agreement was to end at the conclusion of this season, the Steelers announced Wednesday a one-year extension.

It’s possible that Sunday’s playoff game is the final contest of the season for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But it won’t be the last one at the facility that’s been known for two decades as Heinz Field.
