TE Eric Ebron played in Sunday’s playoff loss after missing the regular-season finale in Cleveland because he was on the Reserve/Covid-19 list as a close contact. He tested positive on Monday, forcing the Steelers to close their South Side facility to players and coaches.

According to Pittsburgh Steelers writer Gerry Dulac, the reason the Steelers were forced to close their facilities on Monday, the day after their season ended, is because tight end Eric Ebron had tested positive for COVID-19.
Ebron had already been on the Reserve/COVID-19 list the week before as a close contact but one week later he has it himself. There’s no football left for the Steelers this season so it isn’t likely we hear about how far-reaching Ebron’s positive test stretches across the organization.
