But the Steelers announced on Tuesday that starting with this week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, they would be allowed to have 5,500 fans at Heinz Field. The governor’s guideline allows for 7,500 people at the stadium, including the teams, stadium staff and other personnel.
The Steelers have had plans to account for the possibility of fans in the stands since before the season began. Now that Wolf has decided to lift some of the restrictions on gathering, masked-up members of Steeler Nation will have the chance to replace the pumped-in crowd noise as they cheer on the 3-0 Steelers this week.
