Steelers announce a one-year extension with Heinz Company on the naming rights for Heinz Field. It’ll be Heinz Field through at least the 2021 season.

— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) January 6, 2021

According to ESPN reporter Brooke Pryor, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Company have decided to maintain their relationship for one more season. The two sides have agreed to a one-year extension on the naming rights, so it will be Heinz Field for at least one more season.

Heinz Field opened in 2001 after the moving from Three Rivers Stadium. Back in July of 2019 there was much speculation that the contract for the naming rights would expire but it is great to see the two sides have agreed to keep the tradition going. The atmosphere has been very different at Heinz Field this season without typical attendance in the stands.
